I photograph the world as I see it, in brief glimpses
in the corner of my eye. Small, seemingly insignificant details
form a pattern, and the pattern tells a story for those
who can see it. I only notice what interests me,
yet everything about life and light
holds my interest.
I do not strive for a truly objective documentary,
as I believe that all imagery, all communication,
is subjective—and the subjective is the only
truly objective point of view. I am drawn to images,
and therefore I work with large flows of them,
where order is unimportant; each viewer creates
their own narrative.
In the summer of 2013, I entered a state of hibernation—
I am still there.
But I have begun to awaken.
